The Senior Business Development & Capital Formation Manager will lead RC Brown Capital’s investor growth initiatives across Africa, Europe, and the U.S. The role combines strategic business development, institutional relationship management, and capital formation. The role supports multi-sector profiling—including real estate development, private credit, and outcome asset financing. The ideal candidate has a proven record of attracting institutional and family office capital, structuring investor partnerships, and driving AUM expansion within regulated financial environments.

Responsibilities
Strategic Growth:
- Develop and execute multi-region capital-raising strategies targeting institutional investors, family offices, sovereign funds, and private wealth channels.
- Partner with executive management on fund structuring, product positioning, and investor materials.
- Support cross-border fund initiatives (e.g., Nigeria, France, and U.S. vehicles) ensuring compliance with local SEC and EU regulations.
Investor Relationships & Partnerships:
- Manage and expand investor relationships through periodic reporting, portfolio briefings, and thought leadership engagement.
- Represent RCBC at global financial forums (e.g., Africa CEO Forum, AFW, AmCham), and similar investor conferences.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with both existing clients and new prospects, including pension funds, institutional investors, and family offices.
Business Negotiation:
- Identify and pursue new joint venture or capital deployment opportunities in real estate, infrastructure, and alternative asset sectors.
- Build a deal pipeline that aligns with RCBC’s investment thesis and capital allocation goals.
Sales & Reporting:
- Maintain CRM dashboards tracking AUM growth, lead conversion rates, and quarterly capital inflows.
- Prepare monthly investor updates on investor behavior, macro trends, and competitive positioning.
Leadership and Mentorship:
- Lead junior associates in a professional negotiation, deal assessment, and investor communication.
- Drive a performance culture emphasizing ethics, accountability, and innovation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in investment banking, asset management, or institutional sales.
- Demonstrated success raising capital from institutional investors, for any offices (Africa and international markets).
- Advanced degree (MBA, MSc Finance, or equivalent) preferred; CFA/CFA designation is an advantage.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and presentation skills.
- Thorough understanding of fund structuring, transaction structuring best practices and product positioning.
- Strong ability to lead investor due diligence, data collection, and analysis across multiple stakeholder priorities.
- Track record in leading investor processes through due diligence and documentation.
- 5+ SEC sponsored individual status is preferable but not mandatory.
